Well I have posted a report for day one of the panda traffic generation project; over at JV village.

One positive result I got from US free ads. It was indexed in Google within two hours

Using the search word “JV village” on Google search it appeared at number five.
http://www.usfreeads.com has a Google page rank of five; so this supports the argument of linking to sites with a good page rank.

You can’t run two free ads at any one time here; but they have a membership version called Gold which costs $10 per year.
This gives you the opportunity to run 25 ads at the same time which can give you quite an amount of exposure, especially when you are running multiple affiliate links.
So for $10 a year, I decided to go for it.

My panda project for this weekend; is posting my add to the list of classified ad sites below.
Panda project is just a term I use when I try a traffic generation campaign at the weekend.

The consensus among a lot of people is that classified ads are a waste of time, but it depends in what you are promoting.
For instance if you are trying to build your list by giving a free offer or attracting prospective membership to a free site or community it can be very effective.
You should always remember that there is no such thing as bad advertising especially when it’s free
I have always been a great believer in trying all forms and methods of advertising.
The important thing to do is to track your efforts using Google analytics or your chosen tracking software.

So my mission for this weekend is to visit all the sites below and place my ad, and then next weekend I will analyze what traffic and conversions that each site has given me,
then I can decide on which sites I will keep in my arsenal for traffic generation.

It is also important how you word your advertisement; always make sure there is a call to action.

Well we are almost approaching the middle of January, where does time go.
But I am glad to report that we are on schedule for our launch before the end of January.
We are of the moment testing the software for our JV partners commission.

When posting your websites to a blog or website, try to find sites with a Google page rank.
Sites with a good Google page rank get crawled by the Google spider more often.
The higher the rank the more they get spidered, and the quicker they get indexed on Google.
So if your site URL is on one of these sites you will be indexed on Google quicker.

It will also help you to get a Google page rank of your own fairly quick.
This blog was set up on 5 December 2008 it was a new site with a new domain name.
By 3 January 2009 it had a Google page rank of 2. This now means I get spidered by Google many times a day, so new content will be indexed fairly quickly by Google.

You can check out websites Google page ranking on numerous Web resource sites.
There are many of these, below is a link to one, just enter the URL name and it will give you the rank for that site.
